Desde 1995 Anna Wintour, editora en jefe de la revista Vogue tomó el liderazgo de la MET Gala y la convirtió en uno de los eventos más importantes de la moda a nivel mundial.

La MET Gala es sin duda uno de los eventos más importantes de la moda del mundo. Su celebración se remonta a 1946 como una forma de inaugurar la exposición de moda anual del Instituto del Traje del Museo Metropolitano de Arte de Nueva York.
